Winners & Losers Winners and losers is a game a few business people play. Winning in business is the object here, not ethics or morality. To some it is the glorification of struggle, to others a satisfying pastime. Here clients are held powerless to the people they are paying for product or service. Struggle is a form of social combat in which even underhanded actions are a part of doing business. This forces the client to in a way to grovel for attention from the overpowering personality. If they suck up enough they might get some consideration. This situation where you must stroke the ego of the business owner to get attention carries over to his or her employees. The idea of right and wrong becomes obscure in this darwinian environment. The boss does not care what the employee does to increase profits, they only want results. Getting caught is the only penalty and the employee might lose his job to make the business owner look good.
