Pernicious Behavior Pernicious behavior affects people in very hurtful, painful, and provocative ways. For instance, a small percentage of people in the world thrill at the opportunity to play with people's mind. They involve themselves in what could be "called pernicious social chemistry." Here there is great satisfaction to be derived by playing people against each other by way of gossip and misinformation. Human conflicts have IP's, or initial points of their derivation. A person in the workplace aggressively rising through the ranks might play two rivals off against each other. A client might turn on a business person and accuse them of impropriety when none was ever intended simply to exercise their political, social or economic power (see personal power). Pernicious behavior is both immoral and unethical. When money is to be made by a business a very small percentage of businessmen will do anything to make money no matter the destruction it makes in another person’s life. Pernicious behavior is evident on both sides of business transactions. Clients can be just as pernicious as business people. In order to master business a shopkeeper must learn to deal with pernicious behavior by becoming reserved and patient with their customers so a pernicious person cannot suck them into a conflict the businessperson could not win. PNI Pernicious Intolerance Clients use pernicious intolerance to leverage more consideration in a transaction. They exaggerate the severity of a problem. Sometimes, they are merely looking for the satisfaction of inflicting pain on another person who is helpless to do anything about it. Because there is always the potential that a business person will be targeted by some opportunistic client it is important for them to be professional in every respect. Protocols and decorum’s of business exist to smooth the way of business through the treacherous waters of client interactions.
