Dog & Pony Show
A dog & pony show is a spectacle. It is used in business and politics carefully crafted to draw the client's attention away the work at hand. A contractor might land and exceedingly lucrative contract to rebuild some City offices. Ordinarily a few trucks would be necessary but to make the work in progress look like more involved than it is. Here, all sorts of construction machinery, trucks and storage containers are dumped on the site to make things look busy. In politics and in business, a dog & pony show is theater to make the public believe something important is transpiring when it is not. Note:
